Week 30 and part of 31!

Week 30! What? 10 more weeks! (well, as I write this, 8 more weeks and 5 days haha).

I can't believe we're getting so close! It's kind of freaking me out because I feel like there's still so much to do. I have a list of things I want done (mostly organizing) and I still need to pack my hospital bag just in case. I've been working so much lately that I just haven't had the time to do much else. Not complaining, I want to make as much money as I can before baby comes because I'll be taking a much needed break :)

Week 30 was really good! I am activity days leader for my church calling and it was my turn for the activity. We made homemade ice cream and it actually worked! We did the kind where you shake it in a bag of ice. I think the girls liked it too! I also shot my second to last wedding on Saturday and it went really well (thanks to having Millie come along to help me!). It was also my sisters birthday and they turned super 7. They are getting too old :( AND I taught relief society on Sunday! The lesson went really well and I feel so accomplished from last week (and feeling a little tired from it too haha). Unfortunately I think I worked a little too hard and had some major pain Sunday-Tuesday. But I'm back to normal with minimal pain and I can't complain too much!

Yesterday (during week 31) I was having kind of a lame day and we need to go grocery shopping because there isn't much left to eat in the house. Well pregnant ladies minus food kind of get grouchy and hormonal haha ;) I was really craving fruit and these turkey sandwiches I like to make and so we called the meat counter at Harmons at around 9pm to see if they were still open. They were just barely closing up and that made me so mad. And sad. I totally bawled my eyes out over it. Luckily Carson is patient and decided to grill me a frozen piece of chicken and it was seasoned so yummy. I felt bad because we don't really have good outdoor lighting so he was basically out there in the dark grilling my chicken up haha! We watched The Secret Life of Pets and ate our chicken. I felt a lot better. Being hormonal is scary and I have no control haha!

Today I went and got my turkey from Harmons and a few groceries, yay! I also went and bought more maternity garments because I'm tired of tight anything. Today 2 different people while I was out thought I was due way sooner than I am. I just laughed, because I don't look THAT big! I mean, I feel big, but I know I still have a bit to grow! Baby needs to pack on 3-5 more lbs! They were both men so I didn't take it personally ;)

Last week we got a lot of stuff hung up in the nursery and it's almost completed! I had my good friend Kassi hem my curtains and they look absolutely perfect. I am having his name cut out in wood to go above his crib and a few other wood pieces being made... and having my super talented artist friend Kate paint Jupiter to go above his dresser. I am really excited to have a lot of friends and people I know contributing their talents to his nursery. It makes it feel more personal to me and I love supporting small businesses. So be prepared for a full tour in photos of his room! <3

As far as baby goes, Ollie is doing good in there I think! He moves constantly, always pushing and stretching so my belly looks lopsided all the time haha. He hasn't crowded my lungs or ribs yet and when I lay down I can push on the top of my belly and feel that it's hollow. It's WEIRD. Just stretched skin over nothing underneath it. I assume he'll fill that space soon enough.

Some of the things I've been saying to him this week are "You're disgusting." and "Stop being so gross!" haha! Poor boy. The way he moves sometimes just freaks me out but I would rather him be moving all the time like he is than not at all. One morning I noticed he wasn't being a crazy psycho so I got a little worried and laid down to move him around with my hands. He started to move and all was well, and so I said out loud "ok, you're alive, go back to sleep and stop being gross!" haha! Don't worry, I love him.

How far along? Currently 31 weeks and 2 days

How big is the peanut? 30 weeks he was a zuchini and 31 he's asparagus (or a head of romaine lettuce)

Total weight gain/loss? I am 1.5 lbs up from my pre pregnancy weight. Total gain of 17.5 lbs

Maternity clothes? Yes! I bought some more garments today :)

Sleep? Good! I am still propped up because my back is the most comfortable. This also for some reason relieves pressure on my bladder and the baby and I don't have to get up as often.

Best moment this week? Week 30? hmm... attending my sisters birthday party! Week 31 we have yet to go through the whole week so I can't really answer that yet. We are planning on going to Kolob to canoe on the lake but it depends on what the weather will do.

Symptoms? Heartburn... I had major pelvic pain to where it was really difficult to walk but that's over now after much resting. hmm... oh my gosh a crazy amount of gas this week! That could have contributed to my pelvic pain too. It scares the baby too, I was laughing so hard at 4:30 in the morning because he would jump every time. I know, TMI.

Food cravings? Just good food. I love all the food. I get really sick if I don't keep eating so honestly anything. I love eating granola cereal right now!

Food aversions? Nope!

Labor signs? Hmm... nothing really!

Belly button in or out? I don't know anymore. It's both. haha.

What I miss? Moving quickly!

What I'm looking forward to? Next week we have our 32 week dr appointment and we get to see him on the ultrasound again! Last one before he gets too big to see!

Bump? Yes! People think I'm due already. Sheesh!

Week 28-29!

Some days I forget I'm pregnant. For real. Just for a split second, but it happens! I'll realize it when I'm trying to squeeze through 2 parked cars and realize I can't suck in my belly... or when I'm rolling over in bed... or when I'm bending over/down. Lately though Ollie hasn't let me forget for even a second because he's moving constantly! He's wild. It's less of a kick and more of a move, I think he's getting cramped in there. I can now feel specific body parts sticking out and I try to poke them back in. It's a little game we play. And it mostly grosses me out haha ;) It doesn't hurt unless he's poking out my belly button or just above it. Ouch! Or when he headbutts my bladder, that isn't ideal either. I can definitely feel him in my sides now and that's a little freaky, it's a little more sensitive right there, maybe because the skin is stretched thinner there?

The last few weeks we've been working really hard on completing my list of things to do before baby gets here. We are almost caught up on laundry, cleaned our bedroom and organized our master closet last weekend. This weekend we are going to clean out the pantry and hang up a bunch of stuff in Ollie's room and the master. We got rid of a lot of stuff too, deep organizing going on! DI, we're coming at you! haha. The next things on the list include organizing every single closet in the house, deep cleaning the house, and later on we'll start preparing freezer meals. I'm really excited about that because I just bought an insta-pot on Amazon Prime day and I really think that will help us out! Anyone know of good pressure cooker recipes?

I'm really excited with our progress and am so grateful for Carson's willingness to help out with a good attitude. I feel like we're finally getting on top of things both in our home and financially, and just making overall better decisions. Crazy what a baby motivates you to do! haha ;)

Last week we went up north for a wedding and because we canceled our babymoon trip, there were a few things I really wanted to do instead to make up for it (and they ended up being cheaper anyways haha!) So one of them was to go to fetal photos and have a 3rd trimester ultrasound session. I luckily found a coupon and we got the highest package for about 50% off! We got to see our Ollie after 8 weeks of not seeing him and he's doing so good in there. We got a lot of great photos of him and I loved our experience there (if you're wanting to go, the American Fork Fetal Fotos location was awesome.. and they price match any coupon from other ultrasound competitors). He smiled for us during the ultrasound and I told the tech that even just that one photo would have been worth it to me. I totally cried during the session because they play this piano lullaby music and it made me all emotional haha! So that was a must for me.... and the second thing was to go up to Kolob and go canoeing... I know, weird, but I've always wanted to go do that! So in a few weeks we're going up and I'm so excited.

During week 28 we did maternity photos and they turned out so good! Melissa helped us out on that session and I'm really happy we did them that early. It's kind of a relief! I plan to do a few when I'm just about to have him as well, but the main session is done, yay! Another thing checked off haha.

I've been able to avoid this heat pretty good and that has been a lifesaver. I have 2 more weddings and a few shoots, but I'm doing pretty well with continuing to work. Like I said above, sometimes I forget I'm pregnant! I feel so lucky to have had everything go so well. We have our 32 week appointment in about 2 weeks and they are going to let me do another ultrasound then as well! I love my doctors and nurses, I'm so glad with my choice!

OH! I passed my glucose test, so that's another win. I was seriously worried. My eyesight has progressively gotten worse in this pregnancy and my eye doctor was a little worried my blood sugar was affecting it, but luckily glucose looked good. My iron was a little low so I've started back up on vitamins. Oops. I just was hoping I didn't need them haha! I have noticed my gums are sensitive and ache so I probably need to take a calcium supplement as well. I was having some back/pelvis/hip pain so I scheduled with the chiropractor and have been seeing him pretty regularly.. and it has helped immensely! He specializes in maternity and babies and I feel like God has pointed me to all the right people when I need them. So remember when my sleep was kind of hard a few weeks ago? I'm back to sleeping pretty darn good again. Ladies, chiropractor!

How far along? currently 29 weeks + 4 days

How big is the peanut? An acorn squash... roughly 15.5 inches and 2.5 lbs. Although I suspect he's bigger.

Total weight gain/loss? I'm basically at my pre pregnancy weight, yay! So zero? haha, but from all the weight lost from the first trimester, I'm up 16lbs

Maternity clothes? Yes. I feel like my belly band is getting too small, even though I bought the biggest size. How does that work for plus size ladies? Because Target does not carry bigger. Maybe I could order online? It's just not working out as much anymore. I bought my first pair of maternity pants, the one with the built in belly band and it's HEAVEN ON EARTH. Seriously. I need to go get more because 1 pair isn't enough. And then lots of dresses :)

Sleep? Pretty good! I get up once or twice to pee now... and I sleep propped up every night, but I'm doing really well again.

Best moment this week? Week 28 it was the ultrasound and week 29 it was... hmm.. OH! Today I won a contest for free fondue from Anasazi Steakhouse. I was SO excited and might have cried a little ;)

Symptoms? I still have joint pain in my hands/feet. The space between the bones hurts and I'm assuming that's fluid build up. I have a little rib pain leftover but much better from the chiropractor... still super congested so that stinks... mmm... heartburn... that's all manageable though so far!

Food cravings? Still chocolate... but I love all the food right now. mmm.

Food aversions? Nothing really!

Gender? Boy! Ultrasound tech confirmed it for us again haha ;)

Labor signs? None really, not even braxton hicks. Nada. He's staying in there for another 500 weeks.

Belly button in or out? Not ALL the way out, but half in half out.

What I miss? Being able to roll over in bed quickly... bending over. haha!

What I'm looking forward to? Being 30 weeks so then I can say 11 weeks or less to go! (just in case he goes overdue)

Bump? Yes! LARGE.

Week 27

Oof.

Week 26 and 27 have been a little rough! I mean, overall, it's been great. I feel good for the most part and my complaints are minor compared to others. It's just getting to the point where I'm ready to be done and I still have 1 more trimester to complete! Sleeping is just not great anymore... I get really bad back pain after sleeping for a few hours so I wake up a lot and try to find a position that's decent.. but sleeping on my side isn't always great either because my belly becomes so heavy by the night time and it hurts to sleep on my side, even with a pillow propping it up. So I can't really win at night right now... and even if I do find a good position, I can't breathe and it's just a whole mess. I'm going to ask my doctor if I can do zyrtec or some nose spray because night time is ROUGH.

So with the pains of my pelvis and back and ribs I decided to go to the chiropractor and also get a massage. It was such a relaxing day and my rib hasn't popped out of place since going to the chiropractor which has been nice! I hated that feeling. I think I want to plan on going every 2 weeks to the chiropractor because it has made a difference with my pain (I just don't think anything can take it fully away haha). I haven't noticed swelling but my hands and feet are really sore, like the joints. So I guess there must be extra fluid in there or something.

Guys, I'm over this! haha!

We have been getting more and more ready for baby which is exciting. We have a few weekends left where we don't have weddings or anything planned so we're trying to get all of the not so fun stuff out of the way. Last weekend we cleaned out Oliver's closest because it was our storage closet before. His room is cleaned and we just need to hang up stuff on the walls before it's completed. I have a friend who is going to cut out letters for his wall to spell out his name and I'm going to have Carson make a wooden giant ruler for us to track his height :) It's really coming along! I also found a killer deal on a stroller so that is bought! I also just got his high chair at Ikea today. A lot of the "big" stuff is bought now and it's just left up to the smaller things like bath stuff, breastfeeding stuff, and things like binkys, bottles, etc. I guess I do have to get the bassinet still and a monitor, that's some of the "bigger" items we have yet to buy. But I'm feeling good about all the progress! Now to focus on cleaning and organizing the house some more haha.

Oliver is SO active now, especially at night (my favorite time of day, see above haha). He's starting to kick pretty hard and he is a little wiggle worm across my belly which is a freaky feeling and I rather him just stick to punching and kicking haha! ;)

Next week I have my glucose test! I'm not ready for this haha. I chose the lemon/lime flavor and have heard that's the best one. I sure hope I don't have GB! Next week I'll also be photographing 2 newborns and I'm so excited! I just got to photograph one of those baby's birth and it was such an amazing experience! I decided I will only do births for friends because it's really emotionally draining on me... I take it all of the feelings in the room and my body doesn't know how to process all of it so I end up either crying my eyes out or going into a migraine. This last birth I totally bawled when I got home. Luckily Carson was there for some hugs. I can't wait until my own birth, except I'll probably REALLY be a mess during that haha!

I also have my own maternity photos on Monday! Officially at 28 weeks, the start of the 3rd trimester. I wanted to wait until 32 weeks but because I've been so uncomfortable, I didn't want it to get worse and not be able to deal with it later. Plus my bump is big enough and I'm not swelling yet so I hope it's a good decision doing them this early.

Speaking of being uncomfortable, I only have 3 more weddings left until I'm doing with weddings until after the baby! I'm kind of excited to have a break. I have a few other weddings that I have an associate shooter doing for me and I'll edit and I'm glad that's going to work out. Next week is one of those weddings and it'll be up north which I'm excited about since it'll be not AS hot as St. George. The heat is really getting to me! While we're up north, we are going to go to fetal photos so we can see Oliver... I won't get anymore ultrasounds at my doctor's so this will be nice to do and keep me from getting too antsy. I'm so excited!

How far along? 27 weeks

How big is the peanut? A bunch of bananas! He is up to 2lbs and 14.5 inches. Holy cow. Time to come out already haha! ;)

Total weight gain/loss? I'm just 3-4 lbs under my pre pregnancy weight! So total weight gain from my lowest in the pregnancy has been 13lbs. Not stretch marks yet.. but my belly feels SO tight and it hurts.

Maternity clothes? Belly band for my jeans... and lots of dresses.

Sleep? Sucky.

Best moment this week? mmm getting my stroller on a killer deal!

Symptoms? Pain.. back pain, pelvis pain, joint pain. Pain.

Food cravings? Hmm. Chocolate lately haha.

Food aversions? Nothing really!

Gender? Boy!

Labor signs? None! Unless pain is one of them haha.

Belly button in or out? Still in but it's borderline.

What I miss? Sleep.. not having pain ;)

What I'm looking forward to? Fetal photos! Maternity photos too... but fetal photos more!

Bump? Yes!

Week 25

I honestly thought I only skipped week 24, but here we are skipping 2 whole weeks. Oops. You didn't miss much, just lots of photo shoots and working! Ok, and an awesome trip to Vegas with my mom to get Oliver a bunch of new stuff, yay! We ate at yummy PF Changs (my mom's first time) and oh my gosh... I love Chinese food! So that was super great, and then we shopped like 7 different stores including Ikea. My favorite purchase was this giant grey knit dinosaur that is hanging out by his crib right now. I had been on the search for a big animal of sorts that was very plain and no face and this was perfect!

We had our 24 week doctor appointment.. no ultrasound :( But got to hear baby's heartbeat (even though I can do that at home) and got measured.... which I didn't even ask if that looked good so hopefully he's doing good haha! I got sent home with my glucose test drink for our next appointment and I chose the lemon-lime flavor. So that's coming up in 2 weeks!

Overall I've been feeling really good! Something that is new is pain on my right side in the back, around my bottom rib. I only get it when I sit in certain positions for a long time. But I happen to edit at my computer all day and so I have to position with pillows to not hurt. When I was in Vegas I had to have my mom drive home (and she's night blind, poor thing) because driving is uncomfortable after about 10 minutes. I need to just bring pillows with me everywhere. So that has been annoying. I also don't sleep well laying down. I tried to lay on my left side like I'm supposed to and even when I have a pillow under my belly and between my legs I wake up multiple times a night and I'm pretty stiff with pain in my belly/bladder. So I have since propped myself up pretty good so I can lay on my back and wow, it's been heaven! I sleep the whole night through, no waking up to pee, and no pain! I do notice I wake up with lower blood pressure (similar feeling to when I was on a blood pressure medication) so I'll need to make sure with the doctor that I'm propped up enough (because the back is a no-no).

The swelling has *kind* of started. This heat is really getting to me and even in my air conditioned house I'm still hot. So some days I'll wake up with joint pain in my hands and feet and there's a little extra fluid in there. But nothing bad for the most part! I have a bridal session this week in 111 degrees and I plan on not wearing makeup so I can have an assistant literally spray me in the face with water haha! Luckily no other shoots for a while and the next one is up north! I have 4 weddings left to photograph and I'm hoping July will be good to me haha.

Yesterday we cleaned up Oliver's room (for the most part) and finished putting together all of the furniture. We need to only hang up stuff on the wall and then it's done! It's coming along really, really cute.

Oliver has been super active this last week! Of course I say that and he's been so mellow today, but last week he didn't give me a break. He's big enough that I can see him moving around on my belly now and it's super freaky haha!

Speaking of this crazy heat, I finally got a new swim suit because my other one stopped fitting. I'm excited to spend some time in that pool! (my momma's pool).

How far along? 25 weeks for this post!

How big is the peanut? A cauliflower! About 13.5 inches and 1.5 lbs.

Total weight gain/loss? This question is weird because pre-pregnancy I'm still down 6lbs, but from my lowest weight in pregnancy I'm up 10lbs! Yay! So I guess I'm going to count that as a gain of 10lbs total. The weight loss wasn't *from* pregnancy, but from going off of my migraine medication.

Maternity clothes? Belly band all the way! I just received my maternity photos dress and hopefully I don't gain any more weight in my chest/upper body area haha! The belly can grow but that's it. I also just ordered a maternity skirt for my baby shower :)

Sleep? Good! See above :)

Best moment this week? Hmm... spending Saturday with Carson getting stuff ready for the baby.

Symptoms? Gas. Oh my gosh. Heartburn but that's not new. mmm... and the rib pain.

Food cravings? Enchiladas, no-bake cookies... I love my honeynut cheerios in the morning.

Food aversions? Nothing really!

Gender? Boy!

Labor signs? None!

Belly button in or out? Oh my, it'll be out soon!

What I miss? Not having rib pain haha ;)

What I'm looking forward to? Staying inside as much as possible this week

Bump? Yes! Large and in charge.

Week 22

I feel like my weeks are starting to blur! It's wedding season and I'm just trying my hardest to keep on top of all of my work. Week 22 was nothing crazy exciting pregnancy wise, except that I got bit by mosquitoes like crazy. I had several shoots at Tonaquint park last week and they ate me alive, especially on my feet. This caused me to not sleep much at night because there was no relief. Finally Sunday morning at like 6am we went to Walmart to get me all of the different anti itch creams and those would help get me out of feeling crazy, but not an full relief. Finally today I have been able to function 100% and no itching. On Monday after I slept in really late (I was up most of the night itching) Carson and I went to eat Poncho and Lefties (a current obsession of mine) and went to get me good, reliable, close toed shoes. I have learned my lesson, and for the rest of the summer I'll be in my new sneakers every time I have a photo shoot. It was really traumatic! I have had mosquito bites before, they usually love me anyways, but nothing has been like the itch in pregnancy. I guess I'm just extra tasty now. So basically, I really needed comfortable shoes. Something not hideous and something that would last me more than a few wears. I had bought some shoes at target (similar style to what I just bought at Dillards) and they literally fell apart after a month of use. I have converse at home but my pregnant feet are too fat for them right now (Converse are just super narrow anyways). So when you see me out shooting, I'll be wearing those! (And have a huge layer of bug spray ALL over me).

Aside from my horrific bug situation, we were able to go out to dinner with some friends, Shalli and Brock. Carson really likes Cappelettis and the last and only time I went there I just hated it. But I feel bad because we always go where I want to eat and I wanted to have Carson enjoy some of his favorite food on a date night. Lucky for him, Shalli and Brock like it there too so I thought it was perfect. We all went and I was trying to decide what I would get there (I was kind of dreading on finding *something* to eat haha). Upon hearing the specials, I decided to go for the filet mignon in red wine sauce and I was hoping it would be better than my last experience there. I asked for medium well, more on the well side, and our waiter said they normally like to cook it medium but he would have them do it a little more. *GREAT* I thought, I'm going to get super red meat and I won't be able to eat it. I was kind of bugged and worried. They brought out our food and Carson's steak was cooked less than what he ordered and I was panicking (you know me, I love food and I just hate eating for the sake of filling my body up. I NEED to enjoy the experience). I cut into my steak and oh.my.gosh. It was perrrrrrrrrfect. Absolutely perfect. Like zero pink (so more like well done) but still so tender and amazing. Wow. I was in heaven. I love being surprised when I feel like something is going to go horribly wrong. I told Carson I would be calling to see when that special was and we would be going a lot more often ;)

We had a wedding on Saturday and it went really well! 2nd trimester has been fairly easy and I just hope 3rd treats me just as nice.

How far along? 22 weeks for this post!

How big is the peanut? Coconut! I wish I liked coconut better. About 11 inches and almost 1lb.

Total weight gain/loss? I'm currently at 5lbs up from my lowest in the pregnancy... still about 11lbs under from the beginning of the pregnancy. Baby steps!

Maternity clothes? Belly band has been doing wonders and my swing dresses.

Sleep? Good if it wasn't for those dang mosquitoes! There was one night I had weird upper tummy pain and that was lame/scary so I had to prop myself up on a huge amount of pillows. It hasn't happened again so that's good. I have to have a pillow under my belly for sure now though.

Best moment this week? Eating that steak.... yep.

Symptoms? My belly feels like it's going to explode sometimes, like, super stretched. I looked at my photo progression from week 21 to 22 and there is a big difference! Yikes!

Food cravings? All the food. I could really go for a hot brownie and ice cream right now.

Food aversions? mmm nothing out of the ordinary.

Gender? Boy!

Labor signs? None!

Belly button in or out? In currently... but it's happening guys. It's coming out.

What I miss? Um... nothing this week!

What I'm looking forward to? We have our 24 week appointment next week so I'm excited for that!

Bump? Yes. I finally had 2 strangers yesterday ask me or assume that I was pregnant. I sometimes forget my belly sticks out a good amount now!

Week 20 & 21

I don't know what this 2 week thing is, I need to be better about weekly!

So during week 20 we had our "big ultrasound" because we are halfway done! YES! At our appointment it wasn't as "big" as I thought it would be, it was quite a quick ultrasound compared to other's experiences... I'm hoping that's just a good sign everything is good! He is measuring about a week ahead, especially with his long legs and big head haha ;)

He is a lot more active now and I'm afraid I'll have a hard time when he gets bigger haha! He's super low still. My ultrasound tech was surprised how far down he was! Which I guess gives my ribs and lungs some extra room, but not my bladder... I go quite frequently now.

Some not so fun symptoms the last few weeks are round ligament pain and always being stuffed up. I just don't know how it's possible to have so many boogers being made in a single day. It's ridiculous. I'm tired of not being able to breathe for very long through my nose without having to go blow it, yet again. And it's not just that, it's bloody noses too. It's out of control. On the bright side, I haven't had killer back pain the last few weeks and that has been so nice to just shoot a wedding and feel on top of the world! I did buy a belly band that actually fits and that has made all of the difference.

During week 21 Carson was able to finally feel him with his hand! He was surprised at how hard the kicks/punches were and it was fun to see his reaction. Ollie's most active times are in the morning and right before bed. Luckily he let's me sleep! He kicks throughout the day too, but not like right before bed.

The past few days I've noticed that I didn't FEEL hungry, but all of a sudden I would be so nauseated that I would just try to eat something and then once I was eating I realized just how STARVING I was. It has been weird. So I'm trying to snack better throughout the day. At my wedding on Saturday it was decently warm, 85 degrees, but to me it felt hotter and I wasn't doing the best halfway through the reception. I had a glass of the delicious lemonade they were serving there and I drastically felt so much better. I think that's low blood sugar or something, so my new plan is to have 2 thermos's. One with ice water and one with cold juice/lemonade, just in case the reception doesn't have any refreshments. It made a huge difference and I was able to knock out the rest of the wedding with an extra pep in my step!

During week 20 was Mother's Day and that was so fun to be celebrated. We went to church and I was called to be Activity Days leader! Then we had some brunch at Denny's which was fabulous. Carson went to visit his mom while I rested and then had some cheesy potatoes and chicken and apple turnover things. I love apple anything in the summer! Then later that evening we went swimming at my mom's. I still fit in my swim suit and my belly was large and in charge haha!

How far along? I'm currently 22 weeks, but 20-21 weeks for this post!

How big is the peanut? An endive.. whatever the heck that is. Another app said carrot. But around 10-11 inches!

Total weight gain/loss? As of last Saturday right before week 22, I have gained a few more pounds! So I'm still down 11lbs from pre pregnancy weight, but that's better than 16. I'm really happy about that.

Maternity clothes? Not a lot yet... I have super flowy stuff so that has been working out. My belly band has helped with a few jeans being too tight in the waist too.

Sleep? Pretty good! I wake up once a night still.

Best moment this week? For 20 it was our appointment! I love having ultrasounds. Sadly that is our last I think. For 21 it was being able to get everything done, work has been crazy lately.

Symptoms? I talked about them above... round ligament pain and boogers. Guys. Gross.

Food cravings? All the food. Nothing specific. Just all of it.

Food aversions? I don't like the smell of fish.

Gender? Boy!

Labor signs? None!

Belly button in or out? In still, but it's disappearing and it'll be out soon haha.

What I miss? having a clear nose. mmhmm.

What I'm looking forward to? This week being over. I'm super excited for all of my shoots but also stressed.

Bump? Yes. This might be a silly question from here on out!

Week 18 & 19 (I'm a slacker)

Hi Hi! I don't know what happened to week 18. It was busy and things got crazy with all of my work (I am a full time wedding photographer, part time contract editor, and I take other editing jobs on the side... so basically I'm at my computer A LOT).

The best thing about week 18 was finally FINALLY feeling him move/kick. It's honestly the best feeling in the world. I always have a buddy with me wherever I go. He specifically likes to kick when I'm in the car (that dang seat belt is throwing off his groove haha) or when I'm sitting at my computer. He was really active week 18 and Carson was able to watch my belly move which was awesome. He still hasn't felt him yet officially with his hand, baby tends to shy up when he puts it on there. So we just stare at the little pokes. Baby is also REALLY low. Like, too low for me to show my family his movements without things being awkward ;) So basically he's just rockin' it on my bladder and pelvic region, so I visit the bathroom a good amount during the day. Luckily I only get up about once a night (sometimes I make it to 6am and that makes me happy!)

Another thing I've noticed is that when I get up from sitting or laying down, I have one little hiccup. I don't know what that's about, but it's annoying. haha! I also wake up having to pee but also because I can't breathe.. congestion is just super fun. So I have to get up to blow my nose even if I don't have to pee. And then blowing my nose comes with bloody noses and this is a morning ritual now for me. Kind of gross.

I have finally found my hunger. I have gained about 2lbs and I'm super stoked! Except sometimes I get so hungry and then it makes me feel like I have to throw up haha, even though I had just eated 2 hours earlier. So I'm working on snacking and not being a crazy garbage disposal during main meals ;)

Honestly, 2nd trimester energy is awesome! I feel so productive lately with staying on top of my work/deadlines and slowly making a dent in my laundry. Carson cleaned out the garage and it looks beautiful! We just need to get shelves up and organize just a little bit more. We're working on projects so things don't feel so chaotic in our home when baby comes.

How far along? 19 weeks! (.... tomorrow I'm 20, half way there!)

How big is the peanut? A mango..yum! ;)

Total weight gain/loss? I'm up 2lbs. Really happy about that since I lost so much and had been the same weight since week 13.

Maternity clothes? I have a maternity/nursing bra that I exclusively wear now. Some maternity clothes, but mainly my regular stuff since they were sized for when I was 23lbs heavier! I think I need to go get a little bit bigger of garment tops though, I hate having restriction right under my boobs. I need to be loosey goosey right now.

Sleep? Decent. I wake up in the early mornings because of pee or congestion and then it takes me some time to fall back. I don't want the pregnancy insomnia! Please NO!

Best moment this week? For 18 it was definitely feeling him move. Week 19 was when Carson took me on a date for cinco de mayo, dinner and a movie! We are really working on being aware of each other's needs and doing things around the house. It's been a really happy week! Crazy what you can accomplish when both people want to make a marriage beautiful.

Symptoms? hmm. My stomach is stretching, I don't like that feeling. I also can't move to quickly with like bending over or sitting down, it hurts my uterus haha.

Food cravings? I love sunbelt granola bars right now! And fruit, always fruit. But really, all the food.

Food aversions? hmm.. none really.

Gender? Boy! People keep commenting how they'll laugh when I have a girl because I have his whole wardrobe already bought. Hmmph.

Labor signs? None!

Belly button in or out? In!

What I miss? um... I miss not having to take 2 zantac a day for heartburn. I used to get away with just 1 haha.

What I'm looking forward to? Our 20 week ultrasound on Wednesday.. I cannot WAIT.

Bump? oh yeah.

Almost 3 months later!

Wow, have I failed! I wanted to do weekly updates and that just didn't happen. I took on too much work and it really got the best of me....
